The short version
- We don't ask for, collect or sell personal information.
- There are no accounts, no tracking cookies, no analytics and no ads on this website.
- If you write to us, we use your message only to reply.
- Your wallet keys stay on your device. We never see them.
1. What we don't collect
You can use this website without telling us who you are. We don't ask you to sign up, log in or give us your name, address, phone number, ID documents or payment details. We don't build profiles about visitors and we don't sell or rent data to anyone.
2. Information you choose to send us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the name, email address and message you send. We use them only to read and answer your message. We don't add you to mailing lists, and we keep messages only as long as we need them to help you.
Contact form messages may be delivered through a third-party form or email service, which handles them only to pass them on to us.
3. Technical data handled by our providers
Like every website, ours needs a few outside services to work:
- Hosting. The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). Like any web server, it may briefly record technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
- Fonts. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.
We don't use this data to identify you, and we don't combine it with anything else.
4. Cookies
This website doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. There's nothing to accept or reject.
5. Wallets and the blockchain
Desktop wallet. The Bits-Crypto desktop wallet runs entirely on your own computer. Your private keys, addresses and balances are stored on your device, encrypted if you set a passphrase. They are never sent to us.
The blockchain is public. Like Bitcoin, every Bits-Crypto transaction and address is visible to anyone, including on our block explorer. Transactions can't be deleted, so never put personal information into a transaction.
Web and mobile wallets. These aren't live yet. If they handle any information differently, we'll explain how before they launch.
6. Other websites
We link to services we don't run, such as our mining partner URPool, Google Drive (for wallet downloads), GitHub and social networks. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
7. Children
This website isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Your choices
If you've sent us a message and want to see it or have it deleted, just ask using the details below and we'll take care of it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, for example when the web or mobile wallet launches, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
